One could say Shannon Ihrke has it all: beauty, brawn and brains. But the 30-year-old marine sergeant never truly considered herself anything other than a tomboy. Ihrke says that when she enlisted to serve her country, she was immediately discouraged. "The recruiter was like, 'Oh, a girl like you can never be in a service like this.
