We all know the fabulous leopard print Norma Kamali bathing suit from the 1985 Rolling Stone where Madonna was frolicking around Hawaii. One could say Shannon Ihrke has it all: beauty, brawn and brains. But the 30-year-old marine sergeant never truly considered herself anything other than a tomboy. Ihrke says that when she enlisted to serve her country, she was immediately discouraged. "The recruiter was like, 'Oh, a girl like you can never be in a service like this. You'll never make it through bootcamp,'" Ihrke told InsideEdition.com. As InsideEdition.com's Stephanie Officer explains, a simple favor led her to a second career as a model.
